Lydia really needs to get her act together

So one of my resolutions (yes, I am starting it early) is to actually blog! -{<}_{<}-. I have just been so busy that I think that I really just don’t have time. That is completely incorrect. I have plenty of time… I just usually spend it doing other things. So, today marks a new day. I will post a blog post every Friday. If I don’t I am not allowed to get any cookies. Take that me!

In all seriousness though, I am looking forward to NaNo2013. I know that originally I thought I would give this up and only do it every other year, but you know what? It’s part of who I really am. I enjoy writing, and I enjoy the challenge. This year I will complete a novel and I will have fun doing it -{<}_{<}-. Yes, I am talking to myself while writing a blog, but it is 2 in the morning right now and I had a long night at work and am looking at a long day tomorrow. There, have a preview of my NaNoWriMo WIP Cover for my next story. Isn’t it purty?

Anyway, ADD moment over, Focus, Leda!

My NaNoWriMo in the works is an Arthurian Legend my style. I LOVE Arthurian Legends and did a lot of research back in the day. I found all of it again XD. So I plan on writing it during NaNo. Next week I’ll post my research notes. This time however, enjoy some old writings of little Lydia. This bit of story I am about to show you was written in the year 2007 during a made up thing called: Summer Novel Writing Month on an old forum I was a part of. At the time I wrote it, it was about three in the morning and a bunch of us were just writing. Suddenly I started cracking up because the line was so horrible. Anyway, here you go. A little bit of “We Will Always Be Forever Friends.” Written by 18 year old Leda:

Saria smirked and circled him. “Do you still think that you can beat me?”

“I think that I can if I don’t watch your eyes.” He said thrusting at her.

Saria parried the thrust and did a fast attack. Alagos blocked most of the blows, but she disarmed him. The girl placed her sword on the ground and made two ice daggers. The one in her left hand she threw at Alagos. He blocked it with one of his own ice daggers. Saria smiled pretty at him and charged in. The boy blocked her attacks and swung his dagger. The girl gasped when it had hit her on the cheek. Alagos stopped and took another sip of his wine.

Saria healed her cheek and waited for Alagos to return. I have to get to his wine. But how, it’s sure to be well watched.

She jumped back and threw an ice dagger at Alagos. Alagos smirked at her and made some darkness. He threw it at Saria and she made her strongest ice as mirror like as possible. The darkness bounced off the ice and hit Alagos. Saria ran over to the wine goblet and emptied the contents of the vial into it. She made her way back to Alagos and looked over the darkness that held him trapped.

“Are you alright?” She asked.

A hand materialized from the abyss and gripped her throat, “That was downright evil, my love, but wonderful to behold.”

“Thank you,” Saria said hoarsely. “Now will you release me?”
